The Complete Idiot's Guide to Relaxation

OK, so the vacation was all that we'd hoped for. And more. We'd anticipated much. Lush surroundings. Warm, inviting waters. Undersea snorkeling adventures. Hours in which to practice the pursuit of indolence. Cuisine to delight the taste buds. A romantic Valentine's Day in paradise. We got all that.

And we got more. Later I will be posting about running out of gas in the middle of Yucatan nowhere.

Now kindly proceed to the picture of the gifts I received from Chuck and Jo...

You're back! Welcome home - did you see the red carpet I left for you?

We want to know all about your holiday ....

You ran out of gas? But it was Bennie's fault, right?

San said...

I should've known it was you, David, who rolled out the carpet. Hope you don't mind I tracked sand on it.

Truth be told, we didn't totally run out of gas, just almost. Problem was the only gas station within 50 kilometers was out of gasoline. That's when the real adventure ensued.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks, JS. It's good to be home. Kind of.

Welcome back, San! That picture really does show a nice view. Did you get a tan? Can't wait to hear about ruins and running out of gas.

Hugs!

San said...

Yes, Lee, I got something of a tan, although I was pretty liberal with my use of sunblock. Didn't want to burn.

It was an amazing trip.

Hugs back.

Hi San,

Welcome back! I hope you stayed long enough that you were ready to come back. I have not, in my adult life anyway, had a vacation that was long enough to not be sad about coming home.

You got thoughtful gifts before your trip and gifts of beauty while gone. Does it get any better than that???

Welcome back, it looks beautiful, I can almost feel that sun on my face. White sands, clear blue water, good company and fantastic food, what more can you ask for.

You are back, so cool! I missed you! Looks like it was a great rip, and nice gifts too before you left, wow, you guys have it good. :)
Maybe my new blog that I created while you were gone will load onto your laptop now? I hope so. Thanks for stopping by my place.

Off to Yucatan and back is kind of like portals to Narnia and back. We've all aged and changed jobs (maybe even sexes: you'll see that I'm now one determined and stunning ninja: the portrait's from my early years), while you and the Wyld One are probably a good ten years younger.

We all kept the lights on for you.

Peace, and welcome back to Blogtopia.

San said...

Sandi, I've missed you too!

Pictures and stories on the way...

San said...

Kim, I've missed your art posts.

Playa was an excellent respite from winter. Today we woke up to 5 inches of snow in Santa Fe!

San said...

Thanks, Kate. I hope you're enjoying your weekend. I picture you surrounded by all of your beautiful flowers.

San said...

Carol, yes vacations do tend to be too short, don't they? No matter their length!

It's pretty good to be home though.

San said...

Mima, you are so right. I feel blessed to have been able to indulge all of my senses in such a glorious setting.

Thank you for visiting.

San said...

It's good to "see" you too, Paula!

I believe you've been having some experiences of your own.

San said...

Heather, I will have to test your new blog address on the laptop. Here's hoping it will load effortlessly.

I missed you too.

San said...

Paschal, I already sneaked a peek at your Ninja portrait. Whatever you're taking, I want a truckload! Or should we credit Iyengar?

As to the Wyld One and me, you-re right--10 years younger--as calculated in the Mayan calendar. We disappeared into those extra five days.

Hi Whimsical N!

I'm eager to tell the story. Have to get some more pedestrian tasks accomplished first...

It’s wonderful—and amazing—when a vacation is all one expects it to be.

San said...

That's right, Nick. Vacations are like the rest of life-- full of surprises, sometimes good, but not always.

So glad you had a good trip, San!
Chuck will be home next weekend from his vacation and I am anxious to hear about all of his adventures. I am sure he will have a lot to blog about! LOL

Leaving us hanging? You must be taking blog tips from Shrinky. Make us come back for more. (smile)

San said...

Chewy, it's this laptop that's left me hanging. Won't allow me to post to my own blog. I should be back at work tomorrow, blogging between customers.

If the view in that post card is any indication, I'm sure you had a great time.

San said...

Jeff, that's the actual view from my own chaise lounge. The view was postcard-perfect, as was the vacation, with a little misadventure thrown in for spice.

San there are always unexpected, nothing like some spice of adventure on your trip. Anna :)

San said...

Anna,

That's for sure. Often the unexpected parts are the best.
