Thank You for Your Concern...As You Can See, We're Fine.

Dropped out of blogging again and I appreciate your inquiries regarding the state of things here. As you can see, we remain sound in body and mind...

Friday will be Oakley's 21st birthday. He has matured into an upstanding young man. With the hair to prove it.

David is getting ready to apply for graduate school in neuroscience. His primary interest is in the burgeoning field of inverse relationship between shirt collar/frontal lobe dimensions.

Flannery continues to build her med school application while performing experiments of a highly classified nature at the Mind Research Network. She is looking for volunteers. Can I see a show of hands?

Aside from David's thyroid condition, we'd give life two thumbs up. WAY up.

If I only had a thumb. And I'm glad that someone finds this condition so amusing.

(The funhouse photos are the result of playing with the Photo Booth application on my new iMac, courtesy Santa Bennie.)

Lucky ToonMan. He's quite deserving.

Akelamalu, "incredible" is a good word here. :D

San,
Glad to see that you are all fine and have your sense of humor still intact! Like the shirt collar best!

Wow, it's good to see some silly!
The first of a new year always brings about 'heavy' thoughts of new and improved versions of our selves.
So it's a grand relief to see someone working on silly.
I like it.

San said...

Meg, I too was rather pleased with the shirt color.

San said...

Janette, good to see you here. It's been a while.

San said...

Babs, maybe we needed to lighten the heavy thoughts. Whatever it takes, huh?

San said...

Happy New Year, Aims.

Hello San, it is good to hear you are all of sound body and warpy mind! :-) If I did not know better, I would think you were living in this house! Goodness knows what you care going to come up with next from Santa gift. I think you may have found your artistic niche already, however!

Thanks for the many smiles, San!

San said...

Kim, somehow I knew you would find the photos "resonant." Happy New Year to you and your family!

A little something, Maggie.

Happy New Year, friend.

San said...

I can't take the title Master of Funk, Lori. The "kids" orchestrated this.

Erhem, cough - well, every mother believes their child is beautiful (wink)..

Such a fun post. Sounds a busy acedemic year ahead for both your cherubs, I would be very proud for mine to turn out so well, they certainly are a credit to you San. I didn't know your son had a thyroid condition, is it a recent diagnosis? I have one too, and now I take thyroxine, it has made a world of difference (to the point I don't feel I have a "condition" at all now). I hope this is the case for him, too.

San,

LOL Those are quite fun looking images, San! Dad loves his Mac too for the ability to preserve and edit old images from when we were a backpacking and sailing family. Glad to know that all is well in your neck of the woods.

Hugs!

Glad you found that photo I took! As you said in your email, I'm the normal looking one for once.

By the way is dad actually giving a "thumbs up" or the middle finger...?

lear1958 said...

Hi San, These are interesting shots. Don't you think that Oakley and Flannery appear a bit under the weather? -just asking

Carol said...

I'm glad to see that all is well in San-land! You guys make a fun family.

Reminds me of the hours spent in the House of Mirrors at the State Fair when I was a kid. Warpedness is so entertaining!

Shrinky said...

Er.. course, I KNEW David didn't really hae a thyroid problem, or was your son.. (fingers crossed behind my back, deeply blushing). Gee, and I thought it was meant to be you Americans who took everything so literally, du-uh (wry grin)!

Happy early birthday to Oakley!

San said...

C.M., I hope to be writing more soon. Life's busy right now. Always good to see you here!

San said...

Hilary, I would've suspected you to be a Mac person.

San said...

Andrea, I can take credit for only two of the kids--Oakley and Flannery. David is Flannery's boyfriend.

San said...

Paz, Todd. I'm so glad you're back in the blogging world. I missed you.

San said...

Anna, you are ALWAYS welcome to join in the family antics. Be sure to bring Matthew. :)

San said...

Amy, I do feel good. Just a bit rushed of late.

San said...

Jingle, thank you so much for dropping by. Please visit again!

San said...

Shrinky, by now you know that was my lame joke regarding David's stretched out appearance in the image. He's Flannery's boyfriend and a good sport.

San said...

I thought that was you I heard laughing, Sandy. You have a great laugh!

San said...

Maggie, may 2010 be VERY good to you!

San said...

Spark, yes the inner self is revealed. YIKES.

San said...

Mary Ann, this morning I'm plugged in and wired up!

San said...

Know what you mean, Jeff. It's been quieter than usual in blogland.

San said...

Midlife Jobhunter, we all need the fun, don't we?

San said...

Lynnette, now I've been having fun taking pictures of myself. Maybe I'll have the guts to post some.

San said...

Sorry I misspelled your name, Lynette.

San said...

Hugs, Lee! I love those few old camping pictures you've shared with me. I hope to see more...

San said...

Jo, you amuze me too.

:-D

San said...

Oakley, OOPS, now you've drawn everyone's attention to Dad's "gesturing."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, son--I can't wait to celebrate with you tonight!

San said...

Ruz, they do look a little peaked at that.

xoxo

San said...

Yeah, Carol, what IS it about warpedness that so compels?

San said...

JS, we appreciate those birthday greetings. I happen to be responding on the day itself, so your timing is good.

San said...

Shrinky, you blush beautifully.

San said...

Fe, HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Don't you love your Mac? I can't live without mine. Talking about living life with 2 thumbs up - WAY UP! I like my limbs right where they are so I will have to forego becoming a lab rat for Flannery - I see she is doing a fine job and will have no issues getting into Med School. :)

Have fun with your Life Map. Remember, it doesn't have to be linear, it could take any shape.

Have an awesome weekend!

San said...

Bruno, I don't see how a map of my life COULD be linear. This may even turn into a painting project!

Elizabeth Bradley said...

Oh, just to let you know, room temp pinot works for me too!

I've been sorta blogless for a few months too. My computer died and I had to save up for a new one. But I got it this weekend. Yay! Posting from a cell phone is possible, but very tedious.

I'm glad things are okay for you :)

Hi! I hope you are totally relaxed and ready to take on the world again. Great to see you back!

Okay, I've been patient (fingers thrumming on the table).. but enough is enough. Where the hell are you??

Don't make me come over there - you really don't want me to (ominous toothy grin)!
