Christmas Wishes

May your holidays be blessed...

with interesting visitors...

...lots of sweetness...

...and faithful old
friends.

Wishing you a little fun...

(Bennie's cousins long ago, Michigan.)

Wishing you a little adventure...

...but PLEASE no mishaps...
...no, that's not Tiny Tim's crutch...

...it's mine.
(My parents' house, Christmas 2000,
the Christmas of the broken toe.
)

Wishing you
your own kind of miracles...

time to chill...

...to kick back.

Wishing you lots of
snow...

...well maybe not
this much.

May there be a snowman on your tree...

...and one clearing a path for you.

May your eyes be open...

...WIDE open to wonder.

Wishing you bear hugs....

...little gifts that fit you...

...some surprises of course.

May you experience childlike joy...

...no matter your age...

and I really mean that.

Wishing you peace in your world...

and in your heart.

LOVE FROM SANTA FE,
San

Beautiful, San. Will ``speak'' to you before Christmas but I want you to know how much I enjoyed this.

Can you tell us, one day, about the Christmas of the broken toe?

Please?

Fantastic, San! The way you put together this Christmas Card made it personal for me, and probably all the rest of your readers too. I'll take all of those wishes and send them right back with love and joy!

Merry Christmas, San! And a Happy, Happy New Year!

Love,
Lee

San this is such a beautiful post. I wish all those things back at you too. I'm assuming that doll baby with the big eyes is you! Your kids are sweet doll babies too, now all grown up. Thank you so much for your comments on my blog. I appreciate your kindness. Oh yes, a vote from me re: broken toe story. Happy Holiday, suki

Lurvely! I particularly like that cow-shaped gingerbread cookie with the sad face, labelled "BEEF". I don't know what the in-joke was there, but it tickles my funny bone.

San said...

Rubye Jean, we're having a meltdown today. The New Mexico sun is out and shining.

Merry Desert Christmas to you too!

San said...

David, I'll give you a rain check on the broken toe story. It's far less riveting than you imagine though.

San said...

Lee, I am most happy to catch those boomerang wishes. Thank you!

And have a beautiful Christmas with your family. Safe travels and happy trails...

Love to you.

San said...

Light, comfort, and joy to you too, Fe. Buckets of them!

You have the perfect name to facilitate the transmission of all three.

:-D

San said...

Nick, as ever, your comment has brought me much joy!

Blessed Holy Days to you too. And to Alex of course. I hope Santa Nick is good to him this year.

San said...

Thank you for the bountiful well-wishing, Sandi.

Merry, merry Christmas to you and Mac and the rest of your family!

San said...

Christmas Blessings back at you, Babs! Although I do believe Christmas arrived a little early for your family this year--in the form of Jack.

Safe travels to you...

San said...

b2, thank you for your prodigious wishes for merriment. I hope you and Armand have a relaxing day. If I lived where you do, I would be very tempted to take a walk by the Gulf.

Much love from our house to yours...

San said...

Lori, your Journal is so lovely, I simply cannot wait to see your holiday card. It promises to be heartful. Not a word I guess, but it should be.

San said...

Happy Christmas to you, Maggie May! I know what you mean about the snow. After a time, it gets to be a lot of trouble.

I hope you and your family have a joyous holiday!

San said...

Much joy, peace, and cheer to you too, Celine!

I'm glad you're back from your travels.

San said...

Moanie, I really appreciate your visit. And yes, please return often. The door is wide open.

San said...

JS, it must be simply dazzling in Vermont right now. Stay warm and cozy, and may you enjoy many Christmas blessings with your family.

San said...

Thanks for the heads-up, Sandi. You can't say 'Merry Christmas' too many times!

San said...

Moody, I believe we would need an exorcist to help me shake the sugar possession. Especially this time of the year.

And MEAT does rhyme with EAT.

San said...

Merry Christmas, Lime!

Now that you're getting all of that help in the kitchen, I'm expecting you to post a bounty of holiday treats. Yum.

San said...

Carol, thank you for the greetings and the alliteration. That makes them resonate all the more.

Merry, merry Christmas! And peace to you...

San said...

Jo, thank you!

Merry Christmas to you and your young adults and your beautiful granddaughters. And a hug to Gary (if he's receiving them after surgery).

Love to you...

San said...

Suki, I wish I could claim the identity of the big-eyed doll baby. That's actually my daughter Flannery in her little aviator-style cap. We used to shoot a few pictures of our kids in black and white. It does give a photo kind of an 'aged' look, doesn't it?

I will contemplate how to make the broken toe story interesting. It's actually kind of dull. There has to be some way to spice it up.

Much love and peace to you this Christmas...

San said...

Spark, the BEEF and EAT and EVIL cookies are the brainchild of my daughter. No, she doesn't eat beef.

The Christmas skulls became a tradition in our house a few years ago--we cut them out of Halloween cookie cutters, and my daughter decorates those too. Not that you asked about the Christmas skulls. But they may be my favorite Yuletide treat.

Sandy, yes we do get snow in Santa Fe. We are in the desert but at a high elevation. Our aquifers depend on the spring runoff, so lots of snow is very good.

Merry Christmas!
